AASHTO vs. ASTM
AASHTO, The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and ASTM, American Society for Testing and Materials share many common specifications in the fastener industry. AASHTO commonly references ASTM standards (which are more common in the fastener industry) and can typically be directly converted.
