A lock nut is a type of nut used to prevent loosening under extreme torque or vibration. Lock nuts can be manufactured in a hex / finished or heavy hex pattern and can be self-locking with a pin that prevents the nut from backing up the threads or use a nylon ring that grips the threads to lock the nut in place. We manufacture lock nuts in diameters of 1/2” to 4” and metric equivalents. Give us a call today 800-633-9794 to request a quote or send an email to Sales@ATLROD.com

    Jam Nuts

Jam nuts are very similar to standard hex or heavy hex nuts with the exception that they are approximately half as tall. Typically, jam nuts are used to prevent loosening of another nut by “jamming” against it or when a standard nut won’t fit in the application. Jam nuts can be manufactured in a hex / finished or heavy hex pattern. We manufacture jam nuts in diameters of 1/2” to 4” and metric equivalents.
